Wyoming Choral Arts

From the Director

Welcome to Wyoming Choral Arts! This is a great time to be part of choral music in Wyoming! There are of course many fine choral ensembles in this state, but one thing that central Wyoming in particular has been missing is a high-caliber auditioned mixed ensemble, which is why I have endeavored to start one. There are many fine amateur singers, music educators, and alumni of excellent collegiate ensembles in Casper and the surrounding area, and this ensemble is an opportunity for them and others to perform excellent music at the highest level. For me, it is also a chance to spend more time with some wonderful people and meet new friends.  And for central Wyoming audiences, the Wyoming Choral Arts Ensemble will give them an opportunity to experience a unique body of choral repertoire performed by an excellent adult ensemble. I can't wait to get started! Sign up for an audition!

The Wyoming Choral Arts Ensemble is a new choral organization located in Casper, Wyoming, now entering its third season. It is an auditioned mixed adult chamber choir directed by Dr. Zachary Vreeman, Director of Choral Activities at Casper College..

The first performance of the WCAE was a collaboration with the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra and the Collegiate Chorale from Casper College in December of 2016. The first solo performance for the ensemble was April 9, 2017, when the WCAE performed Brahms' Requiem, the the version for piano four-hands.

Rehearsals are typically Sunday afternoons from 4-6pm, for the 8-10 weeks leading up to a performance. If you are considering auditioning for the ensemble, contact Zach at zach@wyomingchoralarts.org for complete rehearsal schedules for this season.
